- All About Lab Grown Diamonds
Lab grown diamonds
Real, ethical, brilliant. Everything you need to know about the diamonds in most of our collection.

“Lab Grown Diamonds are real diamonds. They have the same optical, chemical, thermal and physical features.”
A lab grown diamond is pure crystallised carbon, exactly like a diamond from the earth. The only difference is where it was formed.
Indistinguishable from mined
Same sparkle, same hardness, same make-up. Even experienced jewellers need specialist equipment to tell the two apart.
Only the origin differs
Mined diamonds formed deep underground over billions of years. Lab grown diamonds are created in laboratories that recreate those same conditions.
Kinder to the planet
A far smaller environmental footprint than mining, and none of the labour concerns linked to some mining regions.
More diamond for your budget
Our pricing is typically 25-35% lower than traditional jewellers, without compromising on quality.

Ethical, by design
Diamond mining has long been linked to unsafe and unethical labour, from dangerous working conditions to exploited workers in some regions. Rough stones from different mines are often mixed together, so the exact origin of a mined diamond, and the conditions it was mined in, can be impossible to trace.
A lab-grown diamond never comes from a mine. Every Arora diamond is grown in a controlled laboratory and certified by IGI, with a report that identifies it as laboratory grown, so you know exactly what you are buying.
- No mining, no exploitation. Nothing is dug from the ground, so there is no link to unsafe or unethical mine labour.
- A lighter footprint. No open-pit mines, no moved earth, and far less disruption to land, water and wildlife.
- Independently certified. Every stone is graded by IGI on the same 4Cs used for mined diamonds.
Every diamond, IGI certified
The International Gemological Institute (IGI) is one of the world's leading independent gemological organisations, certifying diamonds, coloured gemstones and finished jewellery. Its laboratories hold ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 accreditation. Every diamond Arora sells is IGI certified.
